New Comics Day June 19th 2019 - It's Miller Time!

DC are bringing out the big guns this week, with the start of Superman: Year One (Frank Miller, Danny Miki, John Romita Jr) taking us back to the Baby of Steel's flight from Krpyton to Kansas. Then there is the international edition of Batman / Flash: The Button (Tom King, Joshua Williamson, Jason Fabok, Howard Porter), and from their Vertigo imprint comes Lucifer: The Infernal Comedy (Various), part of the gorgeous and glorious extended Sandman Universe.

Not to be outdone, and angling to pip DC to the post for the "longest titles of books released this year" award, Marvel are also throwing down some big hitters, with Winter Soldier: Second Chances (Kyle Higgins, Rod Reis) seeing Bucky turning to the light side, Marvel Action: Spider-Man: A New Beginning (Delilah S Dawson, Fico Ossio) taking Peter, Miles and Gwen into the scariest place in the world... high school. Lastly Star Wars Legends: Epic Collection: The Rebellion (various) brings together a collection of stories featuring everyone favourite Rebel heroes and Imperial enemies.

On the indie publisher side it is new title central, with a whopping seven new books this week, plus trade collections of Rolled and Told (various), Rainbow Brite (Jeremy Whitley, Brittney Williams, Xenia Pamfil) and the second Mind MGMT Omnibus (Matt Kindt). Lets go go check out those new titles though...

Go Go Power Rangers: Forever Rangers #1 (Ryan Parrott, Eleonora Carlini, Francesco Mortarino) sees the reveal of Rita Repulsa's dastardly plan, Psi-Lords #1 (Fred Van Lente, Renato Guedes) is a sci-fi mystery masquerading as a prison break tale, and Stitched: Terror #1 (Pat Shand, Daniel Gete, Nahuel Lopez) gives us a double helping of undead horror on the streets of America.

No Ones #1 (Jim Krueger, Well-Bee) features superheroes trying to cover up a non-heroic murder and save their reputations - and by extension the world, while Militia #1 (Chuck Dixon, Jethro Morales) sees a female-led military operation to save innocent schoolgirls in the midst of a bloody civil war. Trout: The Hollowest Knock #1 (Troy Nixey) is the tale of two brothers on the run after a case of mistaken identity, and last but my no means least is Usagi Yojimbo #1 (Stan Sakai) featuring an all new story of the ronin rabbit. If that doesn't make you want to red it then there is no hope...

You can see the rest of the week's releases below and let us know if something needs to teleport into your pull list - See you all in the shop soon & have a great week!
