New Comics Day 6th June 2018 - Seventh Heaven

Owen Lambert

The arrival of June sees no let up in the great comics arriving on shelves, and while not quite as release crazy as last week Marvel are landing a bevvy of #1s!

As per the title the Seventh Doctor finally gets some comic love from Titan with the start of a 4 issue mini series written by Rivers Of London creator Ben Aaronovich with Andrew Cartmel.

Mark Waid and Marvel Young Gun artist Javier Garrón give us Ant-Man and The Wasp #1 a story of a big journey getting smaller all the time, and if that isn't enough you can get more Ant-Man in a one-shot released this week from not-the-karate-kid writer Ralph Macchio.

The Bat-Wedding specials continue with Nightwing and Hush arguing over the best man speech, as well as Batman #48 in which the Joker makes a play for the very same role!

Skottie Young takes over the reins of Deadpool and this week's #1 finds the mouth having to Merc to make ends meet. We have the Young variant cover as well for collectors :)

The rather busy Mark Waid kicks off his run on Doctor Strange by putting him in space, while Al Ewing seems to have the Hulk as a zombie vampire cross-over in Immortal Hulk #1!

DC get in on the #1 action with Scott Snyder taking over Justice League following on from the recent No Justice mini. The Unexpected #1 is the latest new age of heroes title and features Firebrand, once a paramedic dedicated to saving lives, she must now start a fight once every 24 hours to feed the Conflict Engine that's replaced her heart - Reminds me of that Jason Statham film Crank! Plus don't forget Bendis' weekly Man Of Steel mini continues with #2 this week.

Brian Wood returns to Vikings in Sword Daughter #1 - A Viking revenge saga inspired by Lone Wolf and Cub.

Indy publisher Vault releases interstellar badassery by Eisner-nominated writer Magdalene Visaggio(KIM& KIM) with artist Jason Smith in Vagrant Queen #1.

All the other releases can be seen below or on the jump, so have a peruse and as ever let us know what needs to magically appear in your pull list!

See you all in the shop soon & have a great week!
