New Comics Day 22nd August 2018 - Return Of The Pun-isher

New Comics Day 22nd August 2018 - Return Of The Pun-isher

Normal service is resumed this week with Owen back from spending a week in the frozen wastes of Southern Scotland and as ever there are a raft of new books arriving this Wednesday (which is appropriate as that was the easiest way to travel back from the North)

Aspen debut their new ambitious series Artifact One in a preview #0 numbered issue Introducing Remi, a young and energetic explorer and relic hunter, whose boundless curiosity leads to a startling discovery beyond anything she could have imagined!

A new Batman mini-series begins with Batman Kings Of Fear #1. This six-issue miniseries will see the Scarecrow in a horrifying new way that you'll have to read to believe. Legendary artist Kelley Jones makes his triumphant return to the Dark Knight in this explosive miniseries written by former BATMAN editor Scott Peterson.

Image and Cullen Bunn bring us Cold Spots #1 - 10 years ago, Dan Kerr (seemingly a bit of an a-hole) turned his back on his wife and unborn daughter. Now, both mother and child have gone missing, and Dan must face cosmic terrors to find them again. He soon finds that ghosts stir when his estranged daughter is near. And as the dead grow restless, the cold deepens...

Punisher has finished playing with the War Machine suit and is back to his usual mafia mashing self in Marvel's new #1 - He's still after big game though and the series is back on Parental Advisory which will make regular readers happy again methinks!

If you need more Avengers but also with a twist of kookiness then West Coast Avengers is well worth a look - A NEW ERA DAWNS...AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!
HAWKEYE (KATE BISHOP). HAWKEYE (CLINT BARTON). A guy named FUSE. Never have they ever been called "the big three" of...anything. And now here they are, reunited for, okay, well, it's only the second time ever. Thank god they also brought AMERICA CHAVEZ, GWENPOOL and KID OMEGA. Wait. What? That's right, it's the new West Coast Avengers, son. And you better hope they can figure out how to save the world because BIG things are headed for the West Coast.

Worth noting is Die Die Die #2 which was Kirkman's stealth new release last month - Lots of you grabbed a copy as we gave it to anyone who had Oblivion Song on sub but let us know if you also need this added to your pull list!

Browse away below to check out all the other books and as ever let us know what needs to magically appear in your pull list!

See you all in the shop soon & have a great week!

Owen, Aaron and the rest of the team
