New Comics Day 17th March 2021 - Superman, Ultraman and ... Old man

We're halfway through March and only a month away from reopening, but the comics keep on coming! New Superman, new Ultraman and Captain America is 80 so... Old Man ;)

There's a packed program of events in Batman Beyond vol. 8 (Dan Jurgens, Sean Chen, Paul Pelletier) Damian Wayne, the one true son of Batman, has returned to Neo-Gotham to share an urgent warning with Batman Beyond and his father: the League of Assassins has a new ruler! His name is Mr. Zero, and his intentions are simple: freeze the world, kill the weak, and assert the League’s dominance. In order to stop Zero, Damian is going to have to bury the hatchet with Batman Beyond and Bruce. They’ll also need help from Batwoman Beyond and Goliath! Captain America celebrates 80 years of battling tyranny this month! And what better way to celebrate than by having a cadre of Marvel's best artists redraw and modernise Captain America's origin and the debut of the Red Skull from Captain America Comics #1 as well as Cap's return in the Marvel Age from Avengers #4! The legendary stories that changed the course of comic book history are presented in an all-new way for the current generation of Marvel fans in Captain America Anniversary Tribute #1(Various)!

Ultraman narrowly averted a catastrophe decades in the making. The world was saved - but, also, forever changed. In Johnny Boo and the Silly Blizzard (James Kochalka) the beloved Eisner-award-winning series takes a wintry turn as Johnny Boo and Squiggle discover the delights of eating snow-and the importance of staying warm!

Gert and The Sacred Stones (Marco Rocchi, Francesca Carità) is a timely tale of an endless war between humans and nature follows young orphan Gert, whose land is shrouded in a thick fog hiding ferocious, fantastical animals that besiege her village. Gert sets out to make sure no one else suffers what she has as a result of the war, but to do this she'll have to do what is forbidden of young women like her: become a warrior.
