Thanks to last weeks weather break we've got a bumper crop of books coming your way this week! Grab yourself a brew, get comfy, and read on to see what's hitting the racks this week for you to fall in love with...

What better follow up to Valentines Day than a Casual Fling #1 (Jason Starr, Dalibor Talajić)?! Jennifer Ryan has the perfect life. A loving family. A high paying job in corporate law. Unable to get work at any Chicago hospitals because he was Black, and unable to secure a loan from a bank to start his own practice because he was Black, he turned to another source of money in Prohibition-era Chicago: the Mafia, run by none other than Al Capone.

After paying off their debt to Drez Vina, Vox Machina enjoy a week in Westruun's lap of luxury. But that costs coin, which has a bad habit of running out. So to keep themselves in the black (and the taverns, and the brothels) they agree to join an underground fighting ring. But before they can bash their way to cash, their attention is snagged by the case of a missing child. Prepare to jump back into the fray with Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins III #1 (Jody Houser, Olivia Samson, MSASSYK, Ariana Maher).

In It Eats What Feeds It (Max Hoven, Aaron Crow, Gabriel Iumazark), a grimy horror romp, Francois, a stunning middle-aged woman, has developed a worsening affliction and seeks a young caretaker to upkeep her lavish creole mansion deep in the mystic bayou of Louisiana. Kenny, a teenage halfwit looking for a summer job, stumbles right to her doorstep. Free rent, free meals, high pay, easy work, and a provocative boss... what's there for Kenny to refuse? Well, there's the blood-covered kitchen spilling over with raw meat and the bolt-locked steel-plated attic door he's restricted access to.

The Devil's Highway vol.1 (Benjamin Percy, Brent Schoonover) is a nerve-racking thriller examining murder in the dark underbelly of America's heartland. In A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night vol. 1 (Ana Lily Amirpour, Michael DeWeese) strange things are afoot in Bad City. The Iranian ghost town, home to prostitutes, junkies, pimps and other sordid souls, is a bastion of depravity and hopelessness where a lonely vampire, The Girl, stalks the town's most unsavory inhabitants.

Speaking of vampires, Angel and Spike vol. 1 (Bryan Edward Hill, Gleb Melnikov) kicks off an all new era for the two titular vampires and their friends as they begin a new mission to save Los Angeles from it's true enemy. And they just might pull it off if Angel and Spike manage not to kill each other. Again.

Sticking in the same vein is Bleed Them Dry vol. 1 (Eliot Rahal, Dike Ruan). The year is 3333. Earth is in a state of recovery. Vampires are real, and though far less populous, they thrive alongside humans in the Japanese-engineered megacity known as Asylum. People have come to understand that some Immortals are good, some are bad, and most navigate the world without incident. There is peace. That is, until now. Someone is brutally murdering vampires. BLAM! KRACK! POW! Look out - it’s…love?! Falling in love is rough, even for DC’s greatest. Watch as Batman and Catwoman, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, Mister Miracle and Big Barda, and all the rest of your OTPs fight in vain against the all-powerful forces of romance (and super-villains) in DC Love Is A Battlefield ( Cavan Scott, Christos Gage, Regine L.
