New Comics Day 15/11/2017 - Punishing Evolution

Owen Lambert

It's that time of the week where we look at what new comics, books and merch are arriving in the shops this Wednesday - Yes shops, as from this week forward we welcome readers from Winchester as well :D

All the new releases arriving on shelves in both shops this Wednesday are below (although they will be a little later at Winchester this week only)

Batman reaches another milestone this week with 800 issues (is that 2000AD I see over in the corner looking smug?) and the Variant cover this week features a suitable impressive rendering of that number.

Marvel have big changes afoot for Punisher (just in time for the Season 1 arriving on Netflix at the end of the week) - The covers spoil the surprise somewhat but it's an interesting new direction for the grumpy mafia hating fellow.

Also arriving at the end of the week is the Justice League film and most DC books have a film variant cover to match - A perfect time to pick up and read your favourite character!

Hellboy fans get a double treat this week with Rasputin Voice Of Dragon #1 detailing the events leading up to Hellboy's arrival - Plus Jenny Finn #1 - a coloured re-release of Mignola's acclaimed mini series.

Image have a couple of new series starting this week - Skybound's Evolution #1 brings together some great writers and artists to explore a world where evolution rushes forward in weeks rather than millennia.

Dark Fang #1 Seems to be An Inconvenient Truth crossed with Splash crossed with True Blood - That alone gets it on Owen's reading list this week :D

A new Asterix story arrives this week  so grab a roasted boar and settle down to read that - Possibly while enjoying one of our new Rick and Morty Prints hanging above the mantle piece?

We also have Jean Luc Picard's autobiography and a board game based on the Centipede computer game.

Quite a strange mix I'm sure you will agree!

As ever let us know if you want a title put aside for you and we hope to see you in (either) shop soon!
