New Comics Day 11th July - REALLY Hot Off the Presses

New Comics Day 11th July - REALLY Hot Off the Presses

Hopefully the melting roads and heat induced malaise will not prevent our comics arriving this week, as there are some tempting reads to grab before heading back to the garden and catching up on your favourite book! #EnglishmansObligatoryMentionOfTheWeather

Amazing Spider-Man goes back to basics courtesy of Nick Spencer (SECRET EMPIRE, SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN) and the Marvel debut of RYAN OTTLEY (Invincible) - a revelation from the past puts Peter Parker's job, relationships, and whole life in jeopardy!

After a stint as the All-New Wolverine Laura Kinney returns to her roots as X-23 to make sure no one ever has to go through the horrors she did in X-23 #1 from Mariko Tamaki and Juann Cabal.

She Could Fly #1 - The latest book from Karen Berger's imprint at Dark Horse - In Chicago, an unknown woman appears flying at speeds of 120 miles per hour and at heights reaching 2,000 feet. Then she suddenly dies in a fiery explosion mid-air. No one knows who she was, how she flew, or why....

The road to the Thirteenth Doctor starts here as Titan bring us the first of three stand-alone stories featuring the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctor in ROAD TO 13TH DR 10TH DR SPECIAL #1

Aftershock give us Relay #1 - Equal parts The Fifth Element and Philip K Dick, and directly spring-boarding off the previously released  Free Comic Book Day RELAY #0, this series is an exploration of monoculture, identity, and the deceptive nature of legend set in a thriving future where humanity forcibly assimilates new worlds.

The IDW transformers universe begins it's biggest storyline ever with Unicron #1 - The end is nigh! The Darkest Hour has come. Optimus Prime stages a desperate gamble as the world-eater, Unicron, approaches Windblade's homeworld-but that's just the appetiser. The main course is Cybertron (with a side of Earth)... and it's starting to look like no force in the galaxy can stop the end from coming :( (Interesting factoid - The Transformers movie in the 80s was Orson Welles' last film voicing none-other than Unicron)

The Incredibles 2 gets a comics tie in series featuring three original stories are set during and after Disney Pixar's new feature film

As ever let us know what needs to magically appear in your pull list!

See you all in the shop soon & have a great week!

Owen, Aaron and the rest of the team
