New Comic Book Day 30th June 2021 - A Barbaric end to the month

It's the return of the funny fifth week for this final NCBD of June so we have annuals, specials, anniversary one-shots and a few new titles arriving this Wednesday

Owen the Barbarian (it's like this book was written for CGC!) has been cursed to do good with what remains of his life. For manga fans this week there is Detective Is Already Dead vol. 1 (nigozyu): During a plane hijacking four years ago, Kimitsuka Kimihiko wound up becoming the assistant to a beautiful detective named Siesta. As a consequence of his savage battle with brown bear Riz, doors begin to close for gray wolf Legoshi, and he must strike out on his own in Beastars vol.12 (Paru Itagaki). In an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Elric lost his arm and his leg, and his brother Alphonse became nothing but a soul in a suit of armour. In Fullmetal Alchemist: Fullmetal Edition vol. 13 (Hiromu Arakawa) the secret and sinister origin of the homunculi that hound them is revealed while the brothers' father positions himself for the conflict to come.
