New Comic Book Day 11/10/2017 - Dares and the Dead

Sadly this is another week where we don't have a complete list of what's out Wednesday, but that doesn't mean we can't look at a few highlights of things we will be getting in. For those of you that are here for just the list, that will follow tomorrow when we have it from our supplier.

It's October, and Halloween, (the only thing stopping the supermarkets from pushing Christmas on us early) is almost here! In the monthly world of comics this can only mean that spoooooky versions of our favourite titles will be hitting our shelves.

In a considerably less holiday vein but honestly far more exciting for me is Dan Dare! I never got to read Dan Dare the first time around, but I am super excited to see him return the shelves! Come see a classic British hero take on his inscrutable arch enemy the Mekon!

The criminally macabre Ben Templesmith returns to our shelves with Wormwood Gentleman Corpse another darkly funny title involving walking corpses saving the world. Templesmith's art may be familiar from the excellent 30 Days of Night, Fell, and his work with Stephen Niles. He's been one of my favourites for a while so give him a shot.

Also out Wednesday (and I know that this is going to get a bunch of you excited) is Overwatch Anthology Volume 1. This covers the first 12 issues of Blizzards Overwatch comics and details background not even covered in their animated shorts. It's kind of a must have for any Overwatch fan and the art as you might expect is pretty amazing.
