Yes, it's one of those funny fifth Wednesdays in the month this week, where the usual release schedules get bumped by a week and we get an eclectic (and somewhat sparse) new comic book day.
DC are releasing the first wave of annuals for their big titles (and unless you let us know we will drop these into your pull list if you subscribe to the regular issues). Marvel also get in on the game with the second Star Wars annual and lay the groundwork for the next major event in IvX #0.
In addition they also have the spirit of vengeance returning in Ghost Rider #1
IDW tweak the nostalgia glands of those who grew up in the 80s with MASK #1 and I hold them responsible for the theme tune being stuck in my head for most of this week!
Elsewhere there is plenty going on in ongoing series with the conclusion of Revolution being noteworthy for many of you who have been enjoying the unification of the Hasbro universes :)
