Kids go free at Comics, Games and Coffee this half term plus six family-friendly board games you can play!

We want everyone to enjoy board games and card games and we also recognise that half term can be an expensive time. That's why kids play for free at CGG this half term with a paying adult! That's just £4 for a whole day of entertainment. Plus we have drinks and snacks to keep you going.

If you're new to board games or don't know what to play with little ones, then look no further. We've compiled a guide with 6 family-friendly games for all ages that are available in our CGC Chichester games library. Read on below or watch our TikTok here

Or why not buy some games to enjoy at home or during your half term travels? Browse all our games here!

1. The Fuzzies

A dexterity game for 2-4 players aged 6+. Draw a card and use the tweezers or your fingers to remove that colour of fuzzy, but you can't get out of your seat! Stick it anywhere higher up to make a colourful, fluffy, gravity-defying tower!

2. Sosig

A tile placement game for 2-4 players aged 10+. In Sosig, players will draft sosig piece tiles and add them to their board in order to build various sosigs that meet order requirements and gain them points, you can also gain extra points by winning the award tile at the end too.

3. No Thanks!

Counting and push-your-luck game for 3-7 players aged 8+. The rules are simple. Each turn, players either: play one of their chips to avoid picking up the current face-up card OR pick up the face-up card (along with any chips that have already been played on that card) and turn over the next card. However, the choices aren't so easy as players compete to have the lowest score at the end of the game. Cards are worth points, and chips take away from your total!

4. What Next?

A real oddball of a game for 1-4 players aged 10+. A co-operative 'Pick-Your-Path' adventure game where you never know what's waiting around the corner. It could be a gigantic koala, a fleet of rampaging robots or an old lady with a rocket launcher — there's just no telling. Working together with the rest of the players, your goal is to navigate your way through the adventure, conquer any obstacle you encounter, and make it to the end in one piece. But keep an eye on that Tower of Peril. Let it topple before you reach the end and it'll be game over for everyone...

5. Tsuro

A follow-the-path tile placement game for 2-8 players aged 8+. A beautifully simple game of laying a tile before your own token to continue its path on each turn. The goal is to keep your token on the board longer than anyone else's, but as the board fills up this becomes harder because there are fewer empty spaces left and another player's tile may also extend your own path in a perilous direction. Easy to introduce to new players, lasts a mere 15 minutes!

6. Dobble

Like snap but more fun for 2-6 players aged 4+. Quick! Which symbol is on both cards? Race others to gather or dump your cards. There are multiple different ways to play and there's a Dobble for all ages. Learn animals, or test your speed and reflexes in this simple, fast-paced, fun game!
