Everyone Loves A Jewel Thief #1

What's a struggling writer to do except...pull off a jewel heist! Novelist C. Scott Frederiksson hasn't written anything of note in years. He's about to lose his adjunct position at the University, be dropped by his agent, and possibly dumped if he doesn't publish a hit and soon. Scott has it all figured out. A masterfully scripted spectacle to dazzle the masses without doing any real harm. A local celebrity will be robbed of her prized possessions, and Scott will come out on the other side as an antihero, showered with publicity and a lucrative new book deal. But he can’t do it alone. Every compelling heist needs a crack team of like-minded crooks, and Scott’s top recruits are his old high school D&D group and their ragtag townie friends coming in clutch with the getaway Geo Storm. It’ll either be the greatest story C. Scott Frederiksson has ever told, or someone’s going to end up dead. Maybe both! Grab a D20 and roll for stealth in this new heist-acular adventure from Tim Seeley and Aaron Campbell because "Everyone Loves a Jewel Thief"!

Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre Presents: Romeo & Juliet & Godzilla

Godzilla is returning to the classics with Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre Presents, a new four-issue line of oversized one-shot comics that drops the King of the Monsters into famous works of literature. The project follows the strong reception of Tom Scioli’s original Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre limited series, which is now available in a collected edition. Scioli says the core idea has always been that “Godzilla has been with us for centuries, maybe millennia, hiding in the fringes of history and literature,” calling it a concept that is “full of possibilities.” The upcoming release, Romeo & Juliet and Godzilla, reimagines Shakespeare’s tragedy on a kaiju scale, blending feuding families, budding romance, and large-scale destruction in Verona. Artist Sean Peacock says, “It’s such a treat to put my own spin on the King of the Monsters as well as one of The Bard’s most famous plays,” adding that reading Romeo & Juliet in ninth grade English never suggested a future where fair Verona would be “destroyed in a kaiju attack.” A fan of the original Monsterpiece Theatre, Peacock says there is “some really insane stuff in this book” and that the chance to contribute to the follow-up is an honour.

And now, the VP of the HOA and the Kitchen Steward of the Collective have stumbled upon her body at the exact same time — instantly casting blame across the divide. Forced into an uneasy alliance to discover the truth, they’ll need to work together to uncover the secrets both communities hold to figure out who’s responsible for this crime — and what they could possibly gain from it.
