The End 2099 #1

One future ends, another begins: 3099. After the Age of Heroes, new vigilantes like Spider-Man 2099, Nova 2099, and Red Hulk 2099 rose in a dystopian world to create hope. That future ends with Abyssyus, a terrifying Knull-infected fusion of Galactus. As Devour in Black threatens the world, Mephisto makes a deal that puts 2099’s fate at stake. Warriors from 2099 face well-known Multiverse characters—including Age of Apocalypse Wolverine, Claremont/Byrne Cyclops and Marvel Girl, and House of M Wanda - in a survival battle for their universes. It’s hero versus hero in a fight against extinction. As Marvel's past and present fight it out, one fact remains clear: the future is approaching, including the introduction of Spider-Man 3099.

 

The Darkness #1

Jackie Estacado returns, caught in a supernatural conflict between dark and light. As a mafia hitman, Jackie inherited The Darkness on his 21st birthday, gaining control over an otherworldly dimension and its demons. Now, powerful forces challenge him and his abilities, blurring the line between good and evil. Created by Marc Silvestri with art by Ed Benes and Raymond Gay, this new series marks a fresh chapter for The Darkness.

Father Royston Craig, who became a priest later in life, serves his St. Louis church all the while performing last rites for hospital patients near death. One day, he's called to give these sacraments to Cormac Byrne, who doctors say won't last the night. Byrne, like many others, has turned to God only at the end; he hasn’t been to church in decades. Father Roy is eager to hear his confession, but what starts as petty crime from a lifetime ago quickly becomes a horrifying litany of gangland violence and killings.
