A decade of CGC!!

A few words from Owen on CGC's 10th birthday....

So it's 10 years since I opened the doors at CGC for the first time!

It was a bit of a leap into the unknown coming from 15 years in IT and really just wanting somewhere in Chi to get comics and games.... 



Now here we are 10 years later with 3 locations, 10+ staff (many of whom have been with the company for a long time) and loads of happy memories.

And really very little of it is down to me - I've been exceptionally lucky to have such enthusiastic staff and customers who have embraced the idea of what was started, and created communities around each of the things we do.

That passion and dedication has been pretty inspirational and, while we have had the odd setback (I'm looking at you Covid and evil Winchester landlord), the stores have continued to grow and find new people to join games and read books.

So really this is just a thank you from me to say thanks to all staff and customers, past and present, for making CGC what it is today - All of us at CGC will continue to try and make it a fun and welcoming destination for all and here's to the next decade!
