New Comics Day 29th May 2019 - DCidedly Busy

After a quiet couple of weeks DC have decided to bring out the big guns and have a hefty release roster for our shelves.

Snyder and Capullo deliver their Batman New 52 swansong with Batman Last Knight on Earth #1 - first of a 3 part miniseries from DC's Black Label.

The Superman Leviathan event gets a special to lead into the series (as well as the Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane titles also starting at the same time) - Superman Leviathan Rising Special #1

But they aren't stopping there - We also get blessed with issue #10 of Doomsday Clock, the final issue of Heroes in Crisis and a dog themed summer special! Cripes!

Marvel continue the plethora of titles associated with War Of The Realms but also have Ed Piskor give us his Third X-Men Grand Designs series with X-Tinction revisiting more pivotal story lines from the X-Men universe

There are also plenty of new starts from indie-land:

Vault give us She Said Destroy #1 - Over millennia, Brigid, Goddess of the Sun, has conquered and converted the entire solar system into worshipping her and her alone, save one space colony. The witches of Fey are the last believers of The Morrigan, Goddess of Death, Brigid's sister and the only other God left. As Brigid's forces prepare for one final battle, The Morrigan prepares to do what she does best: Destroy! This also features a very cool Saga homage variant cover :)

Dark Horse continue their Stranger Things tie-ins this time with a prequel story featuring Six (rather then eleven) again from Jody Houser and in preparation for the new series starting soon.

Ever wondered what would happen if Hellboy went up against Lobster Johnson? If so maybe check out the suitably titled Mignolaverse one shot out Weds!

Waling Blade #1 from Comix Tribe has the Headtaker, feared executioner and wielder of the legendary Wailing Blade, kill every man who meets his gaze. And, right now, he's looking at Tychon, an upstart bandit prince fighting to save his father from the chopping block. An oversized first issue with so much skull-splitting action, you're guaranteed to lose your head over it!

Operation Overlord #1 - Rebellion, via their Battle imprint, give us the international best-selling graphic novel series translated into English for the first time. Four extraordinary tales of heroism set during the World War II Normandy landings on D-Day, June 6, 1944, each 48 page issue is a stand-alone story.

Aftershock launch their Killer Groove! In 1970s Los Angeles, Jonny is one of the thousands of musicians trying to make it big while working a crummy bar job, and getting drunk with his whiskey soaked P.I. friend, Jackie. When Jonny gets tangled up with a local mob hitman, he not only finds a new and violent career, but maybe the inspiration for his music as well.

MLP - Spirit Of The Forest #1 - The Cutie Mark Crusaders are back! When Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle take a trip into the woods, they find a forest filled with trash! Just what could be causing this mess?! Looks like it's another mystery for our favourite fillies to solve-and one where not everything is as it seems...

The Buffy companion series Angel #1 from Boom is out if you like sullen looking pretty vampires(and if you missed the exclusive issue #0 then we still have some of those as well!)

You can see the rest of the week's releases below and let us know if something needs to teleport into your pull list - See you all in the shop soon & have a great week!
