It's time for another New Comic Book Day post!
We have another Marvel Generations title Captain Marvel and Captain Mar-vell (and yes that is spelled right). Take a look at how Marvel used to do it!
Harley Quinn is 25! Does this mean her age in the books is briefly the same as her age in the real world, or will we be asking the same question in 5 years? For her birthday, you can expect a couple of classic Harley and the Joker stories as well as a night out with the girls in Vegas, sounds like anarchy!
Anybody interested in Weird Wars is in for a treat this week with number ones from both Hellboy and Wolfenstein! Will B.J. Blazkowicz make Hellboy look bookish and subtle, or will the crown prince keep his crown of mayhem?
Most exciting for me this week (and I am showing my age here) is the return of Runaways! Nostalgia may well rose tint everything but this was one of Marvel's best groups with it's own flavour and style distinct from everything else. The youth of the early X-men the simple powers of the early fantastic four and some of the canny self awareness we occasionally see from Spider-man. It was great. :)
This week also sees the Action Comics go to Oz! It's got another lenticular cover! You know how you like the flashy covers!
