So Free Comic Book day is done for another year (BOO!) but there are new comics out this Wednesday (HURRAY)!
Before I get to the new comics I would like to say another huge thank you to all the people that made the day what it was, thanks to the visiting writers Simon Birks and Matt Hardy, as well as artists Lyndon White and Ed Bentley (all of whom still have books available for purchase in store). Thanks too to the cosplayers who took the trouble and effort to travel and help make the day special for all the people and children passing, you guys were amazing.
Thank you also to you our customers together we raised a huge amount for charity this year and we will keep you posted with regard to the final amount raised as well as the results of the charity raffle as soon as they are available.

Kieron Gillen returns to our shelves with yet another Star Wars title in the form of Star Wars Screaming Citadel! Doctor Aphra gets to meet another of the Skywalkers, this time it's Luke? Will she notice the family resemblance? This is a mini-series and if Gillen's other work is anything to go by it's going to be awesome.
Boom! Bring us Misfit City, a story about a city that once had a famous movie filmed there (say a film like Goonies) 30 years later the characters find a pirates treasure map (like Goonies) but this time it's real (not like Goonies). The art looks really great and the story seems charming, so worth a try whether or not you liked Goonies.
